The new year festival run may be over but that doesn’t mean it’s time to stop celebrating the start of a new decade. The party continues this month at Laneway. Taking place on Monday 27th January (a public holiday) there’s no other place to be other than Albert Park. You’re probably still recovering from the big NYE celebrations so we’ve gone ahead and made a list of the top acts you need to check out at Laneway this year.

Having won YouTube’s One To Watch award to being nominated for a Brit, and touring the US with Ella Mai – British singer, songwriter and actress Mahalia is one to look out for at Laneway this year. Seventeen year old RUEL is here to steal everyone’s hearts. Best known for his singles Don’t Tell Me and Younger, RUEL has also won the Breakthrough Artist award for his single Dazed & Confused at the 2018 ARIA Music Awards. RUEL recently joined Khalid on his Australia and New Zealand tour dates. This is just the beginning of RUEL’s career and nows your chance to be part of the story right here at Laneway.

If you’re looking for soulful singer-songwriter music, it’s time to kickback with Omar Apollo. He blew up on Spotify after releasing Ugotme and also taught himself how to sing and play guitar.
